Google Calendar Integration with Salesforce via Einstein Activity Capture

Use Case

Our objective is to facilitate the effortless synchronization of calendar events between Google Calendar and Salesforce using the powerful tool of Einstein Activity Capture. This bidirectional integration ensures that every user can seamlessly access and manage their own events within Salesforce. By eliminating the need for manual entry and updates across platforms, this integration saves time and minimizes errors, streamlining workflow efficiency.

1. Permission Sets

Salesforce offers 100 free permission sets that are available in all types of organizations. To enable users to utilize the Google Calendar integration through Einstein Activity Capture, the 'Standard Einstein Activity Capture' permission set must be assigned to them.

2. Setting Up Gmail Account for Each User

We need to connect accounts by logging in from each user account and linking their Gmail accounts.

3. Einstein Activity Capture Configuration:

It is imperative to have Einstein Activity Capture set up and properly configured within Salesforce to enable seamless synchronization.

4. Sync Between Google Calendar and Salesforce Event

Once this permission set is assigned, any events created in a user's Gmail account will automatically sync with Salesforce and appear as events in the Salesforce calendar. Conversely, events created in Salesforce will also sync to the user's Google Calendar, ensuring seamless integration and up-to-date scheduling across both platforms.
